Fourth of July!!

Happy Birthday America!!

Today is a double blessing for our family. Not only is the Fourth the day to celebrate our amazing country that for 0ver 230 years has been a beacon of decency, a growing spring of liberty and founded in the belief in the goodness of the common citizen to govern themselves, but the Fourth is also the day K and J came to live with us. Eight years ago today we became a family.

Here you can see K's new hairdo.

J killing time making silverware sculptures.

This is at Fiories Restaurant in downtown Asheville where we had an amazing dinner. We finished dinner and ordered eclairs (I know their not Italian, but cannolis are nasty!- uh oh, my inlaws probably won't like this post!) to eat while we watched the fireworks.
