Lunch

I had read a review of the Skinny Pancake-a crepe place- it looked like a good menu and it has a great location on Lake Street with outdoor seating and a terrific view. Unfortunately, we have tried to go TWICE! Both times we left irritated. The first time was Sunday, 10 am. The place is a madhouse. I thought I would grab a latte while we wait for a table to come open. After waiting forever to order, then having to go up and remind them of the forgotten order- then finally giving up, getting my money back- I decide Sunday must be the hot day to go here. We will come back some other time. So on Tuesday we give it a try. 1 pm we show up. It is not that full, but all the empty tables are still uncleared, line is moving very slow and when I get up to the front I am told "Sorry, it will be about 35 minutes before we can make any food." What? You are a restaurant, right? That is what you do? Food? Sorry no food? We were out of there! Get you act together, man! We drove over to Big Fatty's and promptly finished huge plates of mac and cheese, BBQ chicken and coleslaw. We were probably done before they would have started making our lunch at the other place.
