Everyone knows the famous long rectangular reflecting pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial. In Forrest Gump, Robin Wright Penn walks through the pool to get to Forrest during an anti-war protest. However, the Capitol building also has a reflecting pool. Post-Inauguration people had fun walking across it and sliding.

Frozen pools....We saw people on TV & the commentators were concerned the ice would break...how deep is it they kept asking? Very funny and beautiful.
