The Ferry!
Every year I plan on taking the kids on a ferry ride, but so far it has never worked out. This year I wanted to try to get across from NY to VT by ferry and it worked out perfectly. We drove to the ferry crossing near Essex, NY and crossed to Charlotte, VT in about 20 minutes for just over 10 dollars. And a gorgeous view for free.

Love those ferry rides. It looked like a nice day...something they have had very few of this summer.
