You really have to use the word estate to descibe Springwood. It includes the main house, the Library, the National Parks Service visitor center, two homes built by family members that are still in use by descendents today, the grave site where FDR and Eleanore are burried and a huge horse barn.

One interesting thing- FDR used to drive himself down to the library to work (he visited Springwood over 200 times during his presidency- the only sitting president to use his library) and had a special entrance constructed so he could park a foot from the door and propel himself the five feet to his desk- all while being sheltered from view of visitors and photographers by the car and the building.
