One! The Flint Bridge
The next day our luck with the weather ran out. We had a slow, winding and vaguely terrifying drive out to Chelsea. I forget how fast Vermonters drive on those back country roads- counting on the fact that slow tourists won't show up 'til September. As we drove into town K piped up from the back seat "I see Kathleen!" Sure enough, Kathleen was stuck at the pay phone at the Chelsea General Store, in the rain, trying to get the phone company to believe that she knew where she lived better than their computer. Good luck with that!
Neal showed us the 'New Rig', then we all went to lunch at the Chelsea Diner before taking a drive to see the sights. Did you know that in Chelsea you can cross about 5 covered bridges in about 10 miles?

You must be in VT since K&J have sweaters on during the summer. Some things just don't change.
We hope K&N are getting Gertrude's house ready to sell. That stuff can be very overwhelming. 50-60 years of accumilating stuff, and they aren't very good at getting rid of stuff, sorry K&N. Better to have a neutral party come in and do it.
