Fossil Rim part 2

Of course, the zebras, giraffes, ostriches and cheetahs were the favorites of the kids. The zebras were exotic and pushy for the treats so the kids liked them the best. The cheetahs were gorgeous and only about 20 feet away, but other than the youngest cheetah playing with its tail they just sat in the grass wishing someone would come into their cage for snack time. L did spend some time driving the car around with a little help from S.

We left Dallas at about 10 am and headed out for Kansas City, MO. We are staying in a hotel in Overland Park, KS but we will be seeing the sites in the big KC. Our drive was uneventful and we did stop in the Oklahoma welcome center so K could play three songs on her violin and add another state to her list. We arrived at the hotel and what was 200 feet away? A Sonic- so the kids think this is the best hotel EVER!
