We took the trolley around downtown Little Rock. They are similar to the Old San Fransisco system with the suspended electrical line and the the metal tracks. Very cool and brought us around downtown where we could see some sights like Heifer International, the State House and the park. Then we went to the MacArthur Museum. It is housed in the building he was born in, because it was the base hospital while his father was an officer in the Army.
Before leaving Little Rock we stopped to look at the Central High School building because we had seen it at the Civil Rights Museum and the kids noticed we were going to Little Rock. It is HUGE! Much larger than I ever would have guessed from the pictures. The kids were so excited by the scale of it. They started hatching all kinds of plans about how they would never have to clean a room because they could just move to a new one when it got messy. And how by the time I could walk to the room to tell J to turn off the Xbox he would have gotten another hour of playing time and how they could heelie down the hallways without getting caught.
