I was worried the kids would think a Library was too dull, but they liked it better than the Hermitage- and that had HORSES! The library had a lot of "cool stuff" like an actual presidential limo with a display of Secret Service body armor, handcuffs, guns and earpieces. They also had a section with counterfeit currency SecSer agents had confiscated. Some of it was excellent, but other money was just laughable. You just had to wonder who took THAT!
The library is on the edge of the Arkansas river and is part of the downtown River Walk that reminded me of the renovations they are doing in Vermont- recovering the waterfront from factories, warehouses and loading docks.
The only full scale recreation you could not go into was the Oval Office, but you could sit at a white house dinner table or join in a cabinet meeting. K sat in for the Director of the CIA while J kept up with events for the Dep of the Veterans Affairs.

The Clinton Library...actually a president who could read and write. All that SecSer stuff, John do you want to join them? Then you get to have all the latest gadgets.
Did anyone make a buck here? Seems like a good place to have asked questions and talk to people?
Hi Y'all,
Couldn't post at the other Little Rock site and wanted to say how impressive that school is and how cute you guys look on the trolly.
Nice to see Kathy enjoying your travels too. Sounds like fun at the beach this week in Md. Hope your weather has been better than here..a little cool. Missed hte pool for the last 3 days..amazing.
Also noticed posting times are 2-3 am..when so you sleep? Love ya
Yes Colleen, when do you sleep? Even if that is central time, it is still pretty late!
Your trip is making me want to go on the road again!!!! Maybe next year? Neal wants to "settle" in Palmetto for one winter.
We had a rainy overcast day on Fri, our first full day here so we went to Nancy Drew. Sat a bit cool but got in pool and beach time. Sun was gorgeous, lots of beach time and a tour of the Bethany Beach museum for me....a town founded by a group of Christians from PA as a summer retreat....took them two days to get here by train, boat and donkey cart!
Yuck! The old times sucked. I don't want to go anywhere so much that I will get in a donkey cart. However much you relax you will be exhaused and smelly by the time you get home!
