The Peabody Hotel in Little Rock

Even though we are not in Memphis (which is the original home of the Peabody Ducks) we are partaking in a long Southern tradition. We went to watch the Marching of the Ducks!

5 very cute ducks- 4 girls/ 1 boy- waddle into the lobby fountain at 11am and up the glass elevator to their duck palace on the second floor.
The first picture is of the ducks diving for their corn on the bottom of the fountain. The second is of the kids near the Peabody duck logo in the elevator. Third is the view over the balcony into the lobby atrium. Last is the DuckMaster walking the ducks along their red carpet to the elevator.
Quack Quack!

I loved the Duck action. Is that something that happens all over the south? Never heard of it!!!!! Did you know about it before you went into the Peabody?
Here in Bethany, Keli and I played Mindtrap and found all kinds of treasures in the game. A small jigsaw puzzle, some jacks, a deck of cards, a 1994 ticket stub from Gone with the Wind in Minneapolis, and two pictures of Colleen dated 2-1 before and after haircuts. Oh also some baseball cards and a picture of a chest of drawers. Keli thinks Colleen must have left it all in Bethany. We like MindTrap, the puzzle and the pictures of Colleen. Haven't used the other stuff yet! Thanks for all the adventure!

I had heard of it at the Peabody in Memphis- stories, friends from college and it was in a book I read once. I always wanted to take the kids to see them. I did not know they had the ducks in Little Rock and Orando until I looked online.
I completely forgot about bringing Mindtrap up there. Funny that all the stuff was in the box.
I am so jealous of your time at the beach. We have been hitting a lot of pools but it is just not the same. We have to wait until Mid July! How depressing.

The Peabody Duck...saw they in Orlando on a business trip. Very nice holtels for ducks and people. Looks like the kids are enjoying them too.
